Who is Patti G?

I am a home grown Michigan girl, living in southwest Michigan all my life. I am a wife, a mom, a nana, a sister, a child of God and a friend. I love life & try to live my best life every day, although I admit this is not always easy. Is it for anyone? But I have a very strong foundation built upon the rock and it is because of that, I am able to take on whatever comes my way.

I have always had a creative side, dabbling in various forms of art throughout my life, but when I came upon photography in 2007, I knew this was my passion. I love capturing memories for people because I know just how important those photos are in the years to come. To be able to look back at a picture from your childhood and remember exactly what you were doing, the sounds of the world around you, the belly laugh from your dad as he told you that corny joke or the smells of your mom’s baking in the kitchen as you stood beside her on the stool stirring the cookie batter.

Whether it is a family portrait to commemorate a celebration of 25,50 or 75 years, or a graduation from high school or college, a homecoming to that soldier who has been gone for what seems like forever, the birth of that newborn baby or just a day in your family’s crazy life, it is a memory that will stand the test of time when captured in a photo. I believe family is the root of all our lives - what we make of our time together & capturing it to preserve memories, is so very important.

In 2019 I also became an affiliated photographer for the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep organization. I am humbled and very honored to be a small part of helping family’s heal through capturing keepsake portraits of their little one.

I am a firm believer that family and time spent together is everything. While my oldest son lives 5 minutes away with his family and my youngest son and his wife live 4 1/2 hours away by plane, finding time to spend together with them is always at the top of my list. I am head over heels in love with any time we can all come together as a family to create memories. They all groan when I bring out the camera, but they know mama’s heart is happiest when she can capture us all together, so they oblige my wants and settle in for that family portrait.

Life is a journey and I am so happy to be able to help capture part of it for so many of you!
